Privacy Policy

Summary​

vrOS does not collect personal data from you. There is no telemetry, no analytics, no crash reporting, no usage metrics, and no background uploads of any kind. The only time we see information about your installation is when you choose to send it to us during a support conversation.

What we don't collect​

catnet systems does not collect, transmit, or retain any of the following from vrOS:

  • Personal identification information
  • Email addresses, phone numbers, or contact details
  • Account credentials
  • Payment or financial information
  • Telemetry, usage metrics, or feature-usage statistics
  • Crash reports or error logs
  • Performance metrics (frame rates, latency, GPU stats)
  • Device information (headset model, GPU, OS)
  • Microphone audio or camera video
  • Browsing history or external website visits
  • Location data
  • The contents of your overlays, captured windows, or any application data

The docs site at docs.vros.cat also runs without analytics. No cookies, no tracking pixels, no third-party scripts beyond what Cloudflare needs to serve the page.

What you might share with us​

If you contact us for support — typically through the Discord support channel linked from support.vros.cat — you may choose to share information such as:

  • Your in-game name, Steam display name, or Discord handle (visible to us by virtue of the channel you write in).
  • Log files, screenshots, configuration exports, or crash dumps that you copy and paste or attach.
  • A description of the problem and your hardware setup.

This information is voluntary and only exists because you sent it to us. We use it solely to help you with your reported issue. We do not aggregate it, sell it, or share it with third parties.

You can ask us to delete a support conversation at any time by replying in that thread.

Steam Cloud (save data)​

vrOS uses Steam Cloud to sync your settings and save data across your devices. This is handled by Steam, not by catnet systems. We do not receive or process the contents of your Steam Cloud saves — they move between your machine and Valve's servers under Valve's terms.

Steam's own privacy practices are governed by the Steam Privacy Policy.

Children​

vrOS is not intended for children under 13 and is generally not recommended for users under that age. See our Health & Safety page for age guidance.

Your rights​

Because we do not collect personal data from you, most data-rights frameworks (CCPA, GDPR, etc.) have nothing to act on. If you have shared information with us through a support conversation and want it deleted, email privacy@vros.cat or ask in the same support thread.

Changes to this policy​

If we ever start collecting data — for example, if we add an opt-in crash reporter in a future release — we will update this page and call out the change in vrOS release notes before the feature ships.
